Terms of Service

Northern Michigan Food Trucks ("we," "us," or "the platform") operates NorthernMichiganFoodTrucks.com, a marketplace that connects event planners and individuals ("users") with independently owned and operated food truck businesses ("operators").

We are a marketplace only. We do not own, operate, employ, or control any food truck listed on this platform. We are not a catering company, a food service provider, or a staffing agency. We do not prepare, handle, or deliver food.

Any agreement, contract, or arrangement you enter into with a food truck operator is strictly between you and that operator. Northern Michigan Food Trucks is not a party to that agreement and has no obligations under it.

We do not guarantee that any operator will show up to your event, perform as described, deliver food of any particular quality, or fulfill any commitment they make to you. All representations made by operators on this platform are their own. We are not responsible for verifying the accuracy of any listing.

Northern Michigan Food Trucks does not process, hold, facilitate, or guarantee any payments between users and operators. All financial transactions, deposits, payments, and refunds are handled directly between the user and the operator.

We have no visibility into what you pay, when you pay, or whether payment is received. We are not responsible for any financial loss, fraud, or dispute arising from a transaction between a user and an operator.

We make no representations or warranties that any operator listed on this platform will:

• Show up to your event on the agreed date and time
• Deliver the food, menu, or service described in their listing
• Hold the licenses, permits, or insurance required by local law
• Be available on your event date
• Meet any particular standard of quality or professionalism

It is your responsibility to vet any operator before entering into a financial agreement with them. We recommend confirming all details in writing directly with the operator, including availability, pricing, menu, setup requirements, cancellation terms, and proof of insurance.

If a dispute arises between you and an operator — including but not limited to a no-show, cancellation, unsatisfactory service, or payment disagreement — that dispute is between you and the operator. Northern Michigan Food Trucks has no obligation to mediate, arbitrate, or resolve any such dispute.

We are not responsible for any damages, losses, costs, or expenses you incur as a result of an operator's failure to perform.

Operators are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including pricing, availability, service areas, and any other information they provide. We do not independently verify listing content.

Some listings on this platform are created by us on behalf of food trucks that have not claimed their listing. These "unclaimed" listings are based on publicly available information. If you are an operator and believe your listing contains inaccurate information, contact us at hello@northernmichiganfoodtrucks.com.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Northern Michigan Food Trucks, its owners, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of this platform or any interaction with an operator found through this platform.

In no event shall our total liability to you for any claim exceed the amount you paid to us directly, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim. Because we do not currently charge users to use this platform, this amount is zero in most cases.

By using this platform, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when submitting quote requests or booking inquiries
• Conduct your own due diligence before entering into any agreement with an operator
• Communicate directly with operators to confirm all details before any event
• Not use this platform for any unlawful purpose

When you submit a quote request or booking inquiry, your contact information is shared with relevant food truck operators for the purpose of responding to your request. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top of this page reflects when terms were last updated.
